If one of your children has a food allergy, you’ll know the worry that comes daily. Will they come in to contact with an allergen at school? If they go to a party will someone hand them a piece of cake containing their allergen? It’s always a worry however The Allergy Badge are tackling this head-on and have designed and created some fun products that will highlight any allergy to those watching!
The Allergy Badge
A few months ago I was contacted by a lovely lady called Natalie who runs The Allergy Badge. The Allergy Badge is a company that came about after Natalies daughter Ella had a severe allergic reaction to nuts. Given that my 6-year-old son was recently diagnosed with allergies to all nuts and being that he is now required to carry an Epi-pen, Natalie kindly offered to send us some of her products for him to use.
Their story
When Natalie’s daughter was just two she experienced her first anaphylaxis reaction to nuts. Lucky for them, Ella recovered, however, her allergy lives with her daily. With the worry that comes with this, Natalie set about producing products that would help raise awareness of her child’s allergies, bringing them to the forefront of peoples minds so those around Ella really couldn’t miss them!! And what’s more, they’ve done it in such a unique, quirky and fun way!
Keeping Allergy Kids awesome
At The Allergy Badge, they produce stickers, badges and t-shirts with quirky yet ‘to the point’ slogans outlining various allergens.
Here’s what we were kindly sent…
Nathalie states…
The Allergy Badge is just our way of feeling like we’re doing something. Even if it’s nothing more than a little bit of peace of mind for other parents like us. We wanted to make something that Ella would actually want to wear or stick on her lunchbox. Something bright, bold and colourful – that doesn’t make her feel ‘different’ in a bad way, but will keep her allergies front of mind when she goes and does kid stuff without us.

Such a good idea. If any of my boys develop any allergies we’ll definitely be purchasing some!
